Meeting Students Where They Are for Truly Tailored Learning Experiences

We offer guided education tours that cater to a wide range of age groups, from enthusiastic preschoolers and inquisitive elementary schoolers to self-assured middle schoolers and ambitious high schoolers. Through inquiry-based learning strategies, our education team members facilitate interactive engagement and shared discovery for everyone involved, fostering trust alongside learning.

Age-Appropriate Programming

Our educators engage students at each stage of development, supporting curiosity and participation while creating memorable learning experiences that build upon their existing knowledge and inspire continued discovery:

  • Preschool & Kindergarten Tours

We encourage our educators to embrace their inner child. Using simple, sensory strategies to engage students brings their aquatic adventure to life. We also come down to their level (literally) to make the interaction more personable and appeal to their empathy development by promoting an understanding of the basic needs of different species and how their habitats allow them to achieve those needs.

  • First Grade Through Fifth Grade Tours

By being attentive and showing eagerness to listen to these students’ life experiences – which they are excited to share!  — we provide opportunities to share and discuss topics beyond just a question-and-answer format to instill confidence and strengthen learning connections.

To encourage knowledge retention, we repeat new concepts and vocabulary words and empower them to explore the world beyond simple concrete concepts to more advanced abstract thoughts.

  • Sixth Grade Through Twelfth Grade Tours

Embracing students’ different viewpoints and engaging students in conversation rather than lecturing empowers them to speak up and express themselves. We challenge them to think critically about real-world issues and facilitate connections between these issues and how their actions can contribute to or resolve them. We encourage students to take ownership of their learning by asking open-ended questions, inviting respectful debate, and connecting conservation topics to their personal interests, values, and future goals.

All-Ages Programming

In addition to structured programs geared toward different developmental stages, we also provide flexible learning opportunities designed for learners of all ages. Aquatic Trek, for example, takes students on an engaging global adventure that immerses them in the wonders of biodiversity as they explore the Aquarium’s galleries. In addition, our Homeschool Family Days enhance learning through aquatic-themed activities that are both fun and educational. Regardless of age range, we adapt these programs to suit the needs, interests, and learning styles of each group.

A Teacher’s Lasting Impact

Education is a very rewarding job. It allows teachers to shape their communication in engaging and appropriate ways to inspire positive action through collaborative learning. Successful educators recognize that every group of students is unique, bringing different ages, knowledge, values, and perspectives to the learning experience. By understanding and responding to these differences, educators can make learning more engaging, meaningful, and memorable for each child. Creating opportunities for students to connect with one another can further enrich their learning and broaden their perspectives.
