2023 Free Passholder Programs

Get a new perspective on the Aquarium when we open our “staff only” doors for members. This exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek offers a glimpse at a few off-exhibit areas including life support systems, a food prep station and the shark gallery dive deck. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of the tech, time, resources and expertise it takes to care for 235 species! Space is limited, so register now.

Passholders Only – event for guests ages 14+.  You must be logged into your Greater Cleveland Aquarium Passholder account to register.   

Cost: $1 advance registration (required)

Join an Aquarium Educator for an Urban Bird Walk. We’ll find as many birds as possible and contribute to citizen science as we log the data in real-time using the eBird app. Compare bird species in the industrial flats to lakefront property at Metroparks’ Wendy Park. The Aquarium provides binoculars and a guide to common birds in the area. Please dress for the weather, this event takes place outside. Recommended for ages 8 and up. 

Cost: FREE for Passholders
Duration: up to 2 hours
Total Hiking Distance: 2.5 miles
Date: Monday, August 12 @ 10am – noon

Help the cownose stingrays create an original piece of art in the palette of your choosing. The memorable artistic adventure includes the opportunity to experience the Aquarium before we open our doors to the public, a chance to ask questions about stingrays and animal enrichment and a one-of-a-kind artwork to take home.

Cost: $5 for Passholders
Duration: up to 2 hours
