MOTHER’S DAY WEEKEND
Saturday & Sunday, May 13 & 14, 9am – 6pm
Did you know Surinam toad eggs are embedded into the skin on their mom’s back or that green tree python moms coil themselves around a clutch of eggs during incubation but leave their newborns to fend for themselves once they’ve hatched? Learn more fascinating facts about animal parents when you “shell-abrate” fin-tastic moms.
Greater Cleveland Aquarium’s Mother’s Day Weekend features a parenting-themed contest and extended hours (9am – 6pm; last entry at 5pm). Visiting moms also receive a parent pin when they arrive.
“The experiences we share are meaningful and memorable,” says Aquarium GM Stephanie White, adding, “A family aquarium visit—especially one where you collaborate to complete a trivia challenge—can be an opportunity to connect with those important to you while exploring your relationship with the natural world.”
The community is also invited to trade out those flowers, slippers, and candles to gift that special someone a year’s worth of undersea adventures with a 10% discount on Greater Cleveland Aquarium Annual Passes (Individual, Senior; Couple, Senior Couple, Family or Grandparent) purchased online May 13 & 14 using the code CLEAQUARIUM10. In addition to unlimited daily return admission for the family, membership perks include free parking while visiting, exclusive programming, discounted and free events, Gift Shop savings and more.
